| The holidays are here! I'm so excited! I feel like I need to update so here goes...
School is pretty good, same old stuff. I'm trying to finish college applications and scholarship stuff. I've visited Elon, Wake and Carolina. I liked Elon when I first went because they have an amazing journalism program but the school is so small. I feel like there's not enough for me to do. I love Wake's size and feel but they don't have my major. And then there's Carolina...I love it. Their journalism school is first in the state and eighth in the nation. I love the look and feel of the campus. There's plenty to do and they even have a bead store. I just hope I get in...
Dance is good. The little girls are as adorable as ever. Sometimes they get on my nerves but that doesn't take away from the cuteness. I don't really have time to do much beading anymore. I stayed up until 4 the other night because I couldn't stop myself. I just had to get a little beading out of my system.
I miss my Sonja. I feel like I haven't gotten the chance to see her and talk to her and I know it's my fault. I want to know what's going on with her and catch up. She and I still need to watch The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and have a girls night. I think that's a must in the next week or so.
Things with Steven are amazing. I really never thought I'd find someone like him. I told him the other day that there are times I look at him and I still find it hard to believe he's really mine. He assures me he is. I just know how happy he makes me, how completely happy I am to just be with him all the time. He does so many sweet things for me that I never thought a guy would ever do. Sometimes I feel like I can't ever be as good to him as he is to me but I try. When we went to Carolina yesterday he told me about a bench they have in the quad. He told me that they have a superstition that whoever sits on it and kisses will get married. He said it's happened to so many people. One couple did it while they were at Carolina and then broke up a little while later. They went on with their lives, graduated and got jobs. Eleven years later they both got transferred to Chicago with very different jobs and met up on the street. They started dating again and got married. Steven and I went to that bench and we kissed. I don't know about ya'll, but I believe in things like that. I am perfectly happy with him now and I know that I will be in the future. I see us getting married and having kids and having that big front porch with the rocking chairs. I guess sometimes you just know when you fit with someone else, when it's just right. This is right. I can't explain it, I only know I love him with all my heart. He's gone for Thanksgiving and I won't see him until Sunday and I can't believe how much I already miss him.
So that's my life right now...it's busy, it's hectic and I wouldn't have it any other way! | | |
